CASE: Client allowed to fall and injure herself while under care of a physical therapist

CLIENT: Client was local middle aged woman in rehabilitation

PROBLEM: Client was being exercised by walking with her physical therapist and after she became tired he let her walk alone to a chair he had designated. Client was not strong enough to make it to the designated place and ultimately fell and broke her leg, causing further serious injuries than what her rehabilitation was for.

SOLUTION: Mr. Bushman brought case before DOPL who gave approval for counsel to file civil suit for the client against the physical therapist and his employer who had contracted not to harm the client.

AWARD: Settlement in favor of the client for undisclosed amount.
