CLIENT: Client was local woman seeking redress for hospital expenses.
PROBLEM: Client had a surgery and was prescribed drug called Coumadin to avoid blood clotting as a result of the surgery. Client was prescribed too much Coumadin and then was not monitored properly by the hospital to determine if dosage was too high. When hospital finally monitored client’s blood levels she was required to be hospitalized to avoid injury and bleeding to death.
SOLUTION: Defendant hospital was a federally insured entity. Mr. Bushman filed a claim with the Federal Administration over the hospital and was offered settlement in client’s behalf for her hospital expenses and personal injuries.
AWARD: Settlement in favor of client for undisclosed amount.
